WestRock is seeking an innovative and dynamic Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist to enhance our Hourly Recruiting efforts for our Production and Manufacturing facilities.

This position is ideal for individuals who thrive on the challenge of establishing, developing, and nurturing robust talent pipelines that will drive WestRock's continued expansion.

You will serve as a Strategic Business Partner, Brand Advocate, and Recruiting Authority.


Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will oversee the recruitment process for high-volume and skilled trade positions across various sectors, including but not limited to: Consumer Packaging, Container Packaging, and Mill Operations.

Your role will involve direct collaboration with hiring managers, candidates, and human resources to meet recruiting goals by:

  • Sourcing and assessing both passive and active candidates.
  • Managing the interview, debrief, and offer stages of the hiring process.
  • Providing guidance to hiring managers on compliance and best practices in recruitment.

In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners to strategically support business growth through workforce planning, position profiling, and sourcing strategies.
  • Act as an external market expert, offering insights on talent trends and competitor hiring practices.
  • Work with HR Business Partners to identify and evaluate internal talent against business needs.
  • Ensure diverse candidate slates are presented and promote strategic diversity initiatives in the recruitment process.
  • Effectively represent WestRock to candidates by sharing compelling information about the company’s vision, capabilities, and employment value proposition.
  • Deliver a positive candidate experience by managing the interview and selection process, including facilitating intake sessions and post-interview discussions.
  • Collaborate with global teammates to share regional insights and position awareness.


Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A BA or BS degree in business, HR, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in talent acquisition within a corporate environment, preferably with a Fortune 500 company; agency experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing recruitment for hourly and skilled trades roles.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing diversity recruitment strategies.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand strategic business priorities and operational success drivers.
  • A comprehensive understanding of various HR delivery models and the ability to support critical processes.
  • Analytical skills to synthesize data and make strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent facilitation, client management, and communication skills.
  • Limited travel may be required.
