Assistant Vice President for Financial Services

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced financial leader to join our team as Assistant Vice President for Financial Services at St. Norbert College. This is a key leadership role that will provide strategic direction and oversight to our financial operations, ensuring the college's financial health and stability.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and management to the Financial Planning and Analysis department, overseeing the development and implementation of financial plans and strategies.
- Lead the operating and capital budget development processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis.
- Manage all periodic financial reporting and analysis, proactively communicating results and concerns to leadership to support governance and decision-making.
- Oversee the optimization of our financial ERP system, Workday, and ensure the development and adherence of internal controls to mitigate risk and protect college assets.
- Partner with the College's external audit firm to ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and regulations.
- Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with college and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- Masters' degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.
- Licensed CPA preferred.
- 10+ years of accounting and financial management experience, preferably in higher education or a complex non-profit organization.
- Progressive leadership and management experience leading a department with broad organizational impact.
- Mastery of current generally accepted accounting principles and financial reporting standards and GASB pronouncements.
- Demonstrated advanced problem-solving and analytical skills necessary to perform complex financial analysis and identify trends.
