Position Title: National Bank Risk Analyst

Department: Department of the Treasury

Overview: As a National Bank Risk Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing retail credit operations, including but not limited to installment loans, mortgage lending, and credit card services.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluate operational risks associated with retail credit activities, including marketing strategies, loan origination, account management, and documentation practices.
  2. Assess the effectiveness of risk management frameworks within retail credit lending and evaluate the overall health of credit acquisition and underwriting processes.
  3. Plan and oversee supervisory activities, including risk assessment, strategy development, and management of supervisory teams.
  4. Engage in discussions with bank leadership regarding findings and recommendations to enhance compliance and operational efficiency.
  5. Provide training and guidance on retail credit regulations and best practices, serving as a consultant to staff and management.

Conditions of Employment:

All candidates must comply with federal vaccination requirements and may be subject to a background investigation. This position involves regular travel for supervisory purposes and requires the use of a government-issued charge card for travel-related expenses.

Qualifications:

Applicants must possess specialized experience equivalent to the NB-IV band level, which includes examining or auditing retail credit risk management processes. This experience can be gained through various sectors, including public service, private industry, or volunteer work.

Additional Information:
