Job Summary

The Stamford Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Specialist to join our team in the Electrophysiology department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and delivering patient care utilizing the Nursing Process and following all established standards of practice within State and Federal guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide patient assessment and pre/intra/post care particular to the Electrophysiology patient
  • Be proficient in the management of patients in the Cardiovascular Suite, including the cath lab and vascular interventional radiology population
  • Coordinate the operating schedule and supervise unit activities when assigned the charge role
  • Provide supervision of non-RN personnel

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Valid license as Registered Nurse in Connecticut
  • Maintain minimum of 6 contact hours annually
  • BCLS, ACLS
  • Modem Sedation
  • 2-3 year critical care experience (which includes ER experience or Cath Lab experience)
