We are seeking an Industrial Maintenance Specialist with a strong background in plumbing to enhance our maintenance team. Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate extensive plumbing expertise.
- Execute maintenance tasks with minimal supervision, proactively reducing equipment downtime and production losses.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical systems, dismantling devices to access and replace faulty components.
- Operate and maintain shop machinery, including drill presses, grinders, and welders, utilizing hand and pneumatic tools for repairs and modifications.
- Install and repair electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems as required.
- Enhance equipment reliability and availability through a proactive maintenance approach.
- Utilize forklifts and aerial lifts as necessary.
- Source supplies and parts to efficiently fulfill work orders.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records through effective use of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Contribute to the documentation and upkeep of maintenance logs, manuals, and safety records.
- Adhere to the company’s vision, mission, and guiding principles.
- Follow all safety, health, and environmental regulations while performing job duties.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the maintenance area.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic computer skills including MS Office; familiarity with SAP is a plus.
- Proficient in operating a variety of tools including hand tools, power tools, and shop machinery.
- Knowledgeable in mechanical systems such as gearboxes, motors, and pumps.
- Ability to interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics for troubleshooting and planning.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational skills.
- Mathematical skills for performing calculations related to weight, volume, and distance.
- Manual dexterity to operate various tools and equipment safely.
- Experience in industrial electrical systems, including PLC troubleshooting and repair.
Experience Required:
- A minimum of 5 years in industrial maintenance, electrical, mechanical, or a related field, or a combination of education and experience.
Certifications:
- Relevant craft certifications or technical education are advantageous.
