Position Overview:

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist who will collaborate with various departments including Manufacturing, Engineering, Sales, and Supply Chain to address production and customer quality challenges. This role will involve systematic data collection and problem-solving techniques aimed at achieving lasting quality enhancements. The Quality Assurance Specialist will work both independently and as a team leader, fostering a culture that values quality assurance and continuous improvement as essential components of our growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize formal, data-driven problem-solving methodologies (e.g., PDCA, A3, Six Sigma) to propel initiatives and yield sustainable outcomes.
  • Design and execute data collection and analysis projects to assess the capabilities of current production processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyze production capabilities and apply this data to establish engineering and production quality standards.
  • Develop metrics and effectively communicate findings across various organizational levels.
  • Engage in lean initiatives, including 5S, value stream mapping, and blitz events as necessary.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and continuous improvement teams during cross-functional problem-solving efforts.
  • Work alongside Industrial Engineering and Accounting to evaluate the financial implications of quality assurance activities.
  • Create training materials, operating procedures, and work instructions, and provide training to individuals and teams on updated processes.
  • Coordinate meetings, events, and logistics related to quality assurance activities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Manufacturing or Quality role.
