KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Practical Nursing Specialist delivers patient care under the guidance of a Registered Nurse or healthcare provider, serving individuals from infancy through all stages of life. This role utilizes the nursing process in alignment with Piedmont HealthCare's Mission and Vision Statements, adhering to the standards of their licensure and the organization's policies and procedures, while demonstrating ongoing professional development and accountability.
The Practical Nursing Specialist also oversees support staff and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of high-quality nursing services.
This position emphasizes a blend of empathy, care, and appropriate technological skills, resulting in comprehensive and holistic patient care.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Graduation from an accredited LPN program is essential.
EXPERIENCE:
New graduates from recognized nursing programs are welcome to apply.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
Possession of a current LPN license in the State of Georgia or a valid NLC/eNLC Multistate License is mandatory.
BLS certification is also required.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Proven clinical proficiency in the specific nursing specialty for which application is made.
