We are in search of a qualified Quality Assurance Supervisor specializing in Food Safety to lead our quality assurance initiatives during the 3rd shift.
Role Summary: In the capacity of Quality Assurance Supervisor, you will take charge of overseeing our quality assurance protocols during the 3rd shift. This position demands robust leadership abilities and relevant industry experience, as you will manage a team of six direct reports. Your main objective will be to ensure our products comply with strict food safety and quality benchmarks, adhering to company policies and regulatory standards.
Compensation: Competitive salary range of $57,000 - $71,000, with additional pay for weekend shifts.
Work Schedule: 3rd Shift (10 PM - 6 AM), Monday through Friday, with potential weekend work as required by business operations.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in food safety or quality assurance within the food or beverage sector is essential.
- Demonstrated supervisory skills with a background in managing a team.
- A degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related discipline is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, FDA, and USDA regulations.
- Ability to conduct audits, manage quality control initiatives, and implement corrective measures.
- Strong analytical skills, focusing on root cause analysis and ongoing improvement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, fostering collaboration across departments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP systems is advantageous.
- Willingness to work the 3rd shift schedule (10 PM - 6 AM) and handle occasional weekend duties.
