Operations Associate I, In-Vivo Resource Center

About This Role
In this critical position, you will be responsible for ensuring the well-being and care of research animals within our three vivaria. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of animal welfare, which is essential to Biogen's mission to deliver world-class research for the benefit of our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily health observations and record any abnormalities for prompt attention by the veterinary team and researchers.
- Perform husbandry duties for mice and rats, including providing basic clinical care as needed.
- Receive and house animals in a safe and healthy environment.
- Maintain all vivarium spaces, including ordering necessary supplies and equipment.
- Perform general housekeeping and adhere to all safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Support the team with other duties as necessary to ensure the smooth operation of the vivaria.
What You'll Bring
- Excellent animal care and handling skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Basic knowledge of animal health and welfare.
- Ability to lift and move animals and equipment as needed.
