Certified Hospice Aide

The Hospice Aide is a vital member of our interdisciplinary team, working under the supervision of a registered nurse to provide personalized care and support to patients in need. This role requires a compassionate and empathetic individual who can deliver high-quality care while promoting comfort and dignity for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Perform personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing, as assigned by the patient's care plan.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding, as needed.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Document patient care and observations in a timely and accurate manner.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
- Meet the training requirements of the State.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given.
- Understands hospice philosophy and is comfortable providing specialized care to the terminally ill.
- Satisfactory references from previous employers.
- Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision.
