Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist/CT to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a key member of our medical imaging department, you will be responsible for operating CT and general radiography equipment to produce high-quality images of patients. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate CT and general radiography equipment to produce high-quality images of patients
  • Position patients to obtain desired images in accordance with physician instructions
  • Monitor images and make necessary adjustments to obtain optimal images
  • Confers with radiologists/attending physicians to establish requirements for non-standard examinations
  • Follow all established scanning protocols
  • Process and transmit images according to established department protocols and standard operating procedures
  • Consistently operate Radiology Information System to ensure accurate patient information
  • Start IVs and monitor patients during contrast administration under direction of a physician
  • Maintain quality control of all CT and general radiography procedures and related equipment
  • Participate in all ACR accreditation requirements as required
  • Prepare and maintain CT and general radiography records and files, as required
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies used in providing CT and general radiography services
Requirements
  • Recent experience as a Radiologic Technologist working in a medical imaging department and six (6) months of recent computed tomography experience required or recent graduates of a CT cross-training program may be considered
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Computed Tomography from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two (2) or more years medical imaging experience in a trauma center or emergency department with recent CT experience
  • Associates degree or higher
