Job Summary

As a Radiologic Technologist/CT Specialist at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality medical imaging services to our patients. This position requires a unique blend of technical expertise, patient care skills, and communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate computed tomography (CT) and general radiography equipment to produce high-quality images of the body, in accordance with physician instructions.
  • Position patients to obtain desired images, using knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
  • Monitor images and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal image quality.
  • Conferring with radiologists and attending physicians to establish requirements for non-standard examinations.
  • Follow established scanning protocols and maintain quality control of all CT and general radiography procedures and related equipment.
  • Start IVs and monitor patients during contrast administration under the direction of a physician.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information, including demographic data and imaging results.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and physicians to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements
  • Recent experience as a Radiologic Technologist, with at least six months of computed tomography experience.
  • Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (R) and Computed Tomography (C).
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Computed Tomography.
  • Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two or more years of medical imaging experience in a trauma center or emergency department, with recent CT experience.
  • Associates degree or higher.
