Position Summary

The Generation, Transmission, and Distribution Project Management Organization (GTD-PMO) includes various disciplines such as Construction Management, Project Controls, Project Services, Program Management, and Project Management.

As a Senior Project Controls Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting capital projects related to generation, transmission, and distribution by overseeing and managing costs and scope, developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules, and facilitating the project authorization process.

This role demands extensive knowledge and experience, employing best practices and insights into internal or external business issues to enhance products or services. You will be expected to tackle complex challenges, adopt fresh perspectives using existing solutions, and work autonomously with minimal guidance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Controls: Design and implement project controls to ensure compliance with scheduling, cost management, regulatory requirements, reporting, and other project obligations.
  • Cost Control Management: Develop, monitor, and update project cash flows monthly, ensuring alignment with corporate budget governance and identifying any scope changes.
  • Project Scheduling: Create detailed project schedules to optimize efficiency and effectiveness, coordinating with other organizations involved in the project.
  • Monitoring: Oversee projects throughout all phases to detect any deviations from plans, analyzing impacts and adjusting project strategies as necessary.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting on project schedules, costs, risks, and other significant matters.
  • Metrics Development: Establish project performance metrics and maintain schedule metrics to communicate status updates and necessary recovery plans.
  • Process Improvement: Lead teams in analyzing business processes and resource requirements, recommending enhancements and translating processes into measurable metrics.
  • Coordination and Communication: Build relationships with key stakeholders, develop communication plans, and provide technical guidance as needed.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, project management, engineering, construction management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Five or more years of experience in a technical field within a regulated utility or large-scale engineering and construction programs.
  • Proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6.

Preferred:

  • Experience in cost control management and project forecasting.
  • Intermediate knowledge of project management principles and tools.
  • Familiarity with utility accounting, procurement, and budgeting.

PGE supports flexible work arrangements, combining in-office and remote work. However, these arrangements may evolve based on business needs.

Compensation:

The compensation range for this position is $71,000 to $142,500, with eligibility for performance-based incentives. Total compensation is commensurate with experience, skills, and education.
