Senior Sales Professional

About the Role:
Hitachi Energy is seeking a seasoned sales professional to join our Sales team focused on the Transport market. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for building and expanding relationships with strategically important Transport customers.
This position will be based in one of our locations in the United States, and you will be required to travel extensively to meet with customers and partners. You will be a critical part of our strategy, responsible for achieving sales targets, pipeline management, relationship management, and strategic account planning while maintaining customer satisfaction as measured by the Net Promoter Score.
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop sales strategies for Transport customers by providing their current business and long-term plans.
- Define and propose sales targets and growth margins for Transport customers and ensure their achievement with a structured follow-up process.
- Manage and achieve both overall and business unit-specific sales targets, account coverage, and customer satisfaction targets for Transport customers.
- Lead the development and implementation of account plans to include designing executive relationship strategies and coverage plans, prioritizing opportunities, and identifying targets for each solution element.
- Propose recovery plans in case of potential order shortfalls.
- Establish and develop Transport customer relationships based on a defined strategy.
- Monitor competitors' activity with each Transport account and ensure that appropriate response strategies are formulated and implemented.
- Promote frame agreements with Transport customers to simplify the business process.
- Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of Transport customers' business strategies, purchasing behaviors, and organizational structures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with minimum 12 years of experience in sales or business development working with clients in the Transport market.
- Experience in selling Power Distribution products, such as transformer systems, switchgear, circuit breakers, etc.
- Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.
- Strong analytical skills, relationship management qualities, and leadership abilities.
- Willingness to travel extensively.
