About the Role

The George Washington University Hospital is seeking a skilled RN-Transfer Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Transfer Center, you will play a vital role in developing, coordinating, and executing the Transfer Center program. Your expertise will be instrumental in promoting staff proficiency in the care of transferred patients and assisting with the development and implementation of interdisciplinary strategies for providing a coordinated care program for transferred patients.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, coordinate, and enhance the Transfer Center program
  • Promote staff proficiency in the care of transferred patients
  • Assist with the development and implementation of interdisciplinary strategies for providing a coordinated care program for transferred patients
  • Collaborate with the Chief Operating Officer and the Transfer Center Medical Director to achieve program goals
Requirements
  • BSN required; Master's preferred
  • Minimum 3 years nursing experience in critical care
  • 5 years of clinical experience in critical or trauma care setting
  • Professional experience that demonstrates a progressive leadership background
  • CCRN preferred
