Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled RN First Assistant to join our team at Mercy Hospital Washington. As a RN First Assistant, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our Operating Room team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care and maintain professional accountability for provision of patient care for assigned patients.
  • Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers and coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments.
  • Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
  • Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and guiding principles.
Requirements
  • Must have either a current RN Temporary Permit/RN license in the State of Missouri.
  • Minimum of two (2) years intraoperative experience with documentation of proficiency in perioperative nursing practice as a scrub and circulating nurse.
  • CNOR and RN-First Assistant class required within one year of hire/transfer. BLS/ACLS required within first year.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BSN Preferred
  • Three (3) or more years intraoperative experience
  • CNOR, CRNFA
