RN Shift Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled RN Shift Coordinator to join our team at Children's National Hospital. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for directing the activities of and/or participating as a member of the patient care delivery team.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with unit leadership to plan, manage, and evaluate unit-based clinical care and ensure continuity of care is maintained.
- Participate in the performance appraisal process for all staff and implement change with a positive impact.
- Ensure staff adherence to unit/hospital policies and demonstrate awareness of cost containment strategies.
- Facilitate learning opportunities for all staff and ensure that patient/family educational needs are met.
- Speak up when team members appear to exhibit unsafe behavior or performance and continuously validate and verify information needed for decision making or documentation.
- Bachelor's Degree (Required)
- 2 years Nursing experience (Required)
- 1 year Recent pediatric experience in a comparable setting (Required)
- Registered Nurse in District of Columbia (Required)
