Position: IT Project Coordinator
NIRA, Inc. is seeking an IT Project Coordinator to provide essential IT and logistical assistance for a significant FAA Directorate. This role involves supporting both on-site and remote federal personnel, requiring a strong capacity for independent work as well as collaboration within a team environment. The position operates in a hybrid work setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist new federal staff in acclimating to their respective teams and programs.
- Manage the preparation, submission, and tracking of all IT Service Requests related to onboarding, offboarding, or transfers for FAA personnel and contractors.
- Facilitate the submission of hardware and software requests through the FAA IT process.
- Deliver technical assistance to employees, addressing hardware and software challenges, and responding to IT-related inquiries.
- Support federal employees in requesting wireless devices and monitor the status of their delivery.
- Resolve logistical and IT delivery challenges in collaboration with FAA IT staff.
- Assist in on-site space planning by identifying available areas, maintaining seating charts, and coordinating with FAA Facility Management for new hires and employee relocations.
- Develop and revise IT Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Provide basic training on available IT tools and systems as necessary.
- Offer general administrative support, including data entry and system access management.
- Act as a communication bridge between the Directorate and various Program Offices, ensuring effective dialogue and problem-solving.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Fundamental understanding of computer hardware, software, and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team framework.
