Industrial Sales Professional

As a Technical Sales Representative, you'll play a vital role in driving our success by building strong relationships with key decision-makers in the Oil & Gas, Power, and Chemical industries.
Responsibilities:- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet customer needs and exceed expectations.
- Collaborate with rotating equipment engineers and maintenance professionals to troubleshoot and solve complex problems.
- Deliver engaging product presentations and demonstrations to enhance customer knowledge and awareness.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers and manufacturers represented by AirTech.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments to provide expert guidance to customers.
- Travel within the Western Ohio territory to meet with customers and promote AirTech's products and services.
- Minimum 5 years of industrial technology sales experience or 2 years of experience in compressed air equipment sales with a college degree.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Influential customer service skills with a talent for building relationships.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
- Possess an energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor.
- Accomplished at working both independently and as an active team member.
- Customer-centric focus (internal and external customers).
- Comfortable making cold calls and engaging in conversations.
- Mechanical aptitude, including an understanding of rotating equipment, fabrication/manufacturing of equipment, and machine shop processes.
- Ability to interpret industry standards and engineering specifications (API and ASME).
- Prior plant experience is preferred.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to work in an office and industrial setting as required by the customer.
- Ability to travel via plane as needed and drive a vehicle for up to 2-3 hours at a time and up to 6 hours per day.
- Ability to communicate via telephone and electronic devices in the workplace.
- Ability to walk for long stretches, climb stairs regularly, and climb ladders occasionally while at industrial customer sites.
- Adapt to various climates, including high temperatures (ambient and hot process environments) and outdoor conditions such as direct sunlight and extreme high or low temperatures depending on the season.
- Wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE), which includes hard hats, safety glasses, and proper attire, which could include long sleeves even when temperatures are high.
- Occasional lifting of loads up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb up and down into the back of a truck.
- Work in an industrial environment, which includes the presence of various chemicals, hot piping/vessels, steam, cooking apparatuses, livestock, livestock and food processing, dust, and industrial/municipal wastewater, while wearing proper PPE.
