As a Technical Sales Representative, you'll play a vital role in driving our success by building strong relationships with key decision-makers in the Oil & Gas, Power, and Chemical industries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with industry leaders to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
  • Deliver compelling product presentations and demonstrations to enhance customer knowledge.
  • Establish strong partnerships with manufacturers and attend sales meetings to stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of products, processes, and industry developments.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers and vendors through regular communication and entertainment.
  • Provide start-up service and support as needed.
  • Conduct failure analysis and report findings to drive improvement initiatives.
  • Manage equipment performance improvement programs and report quarterly results.
  • Travel within the Western Ohio territory to meet with customers and partners.
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of industrial technology sales experience or 2+ years of compressed air equipment sales experience with a college degree.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software proficiency.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Influential customer service skills with a talent for building relationships.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • Possess an energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor.
  • Accomplished at working independently and as an active team member.
  • Customer-centric focus (internal and external customers).
  • Comfortable making cold calls and engaging in conversations.
  • Mechanical aptitude, including rotating equipment, fabrication/manufacturing, and machine shop processes.
  • Ability to interpret industry standards and engineering specifications (API and ASME).
  • Prior plant experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
Physical Demands/Environment:
  • Ability to work in an office and industrial setting as required by the customer.
  • Must be able to travel via plane as needed and drive a vehicle for up to 2-3 hours at a time and up to 6 hours per day.
  • Must be able to communicate via telephone and electronic devices in the workplace.
  • Ability to walk for long stretches, climb stairs regularly, and climb ladders occasionally while at industrial customer sites.
  • Adapt to various climates, including high temperatures and outdoor conditions.
  • Wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety glasses, and proper attire.
  • Occasional lifting of loads up to 50 lbs.
  • Must climb up and down into the back of a truck.
  • Work in an industrial environment, including the presence of various chemicals, hot piping/vessels, steam, cooking apparatuses, livestock, and industrial/municipal wastewater, while wearing proper PPE.
