Role Overview: Contractor Sales
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM

The Contractor Sales Representative is responsible for executing our complete sales strategy, with a strong emphasis on actively seeking new residential and commercial contractor partnerships.

This role involves facilitating and coordinating business operations for accounts while implementing PARR's sales initiatives.

The individual will be tasked with nurturing relationships with builders and general contractors, aligning with our vision to be the preferred supplier of building materials in the Northwest.

This position reports directly to the Division Sales Manager and involves daily interactions with yard managers, employees (both in-store and in the yard), and customers. Regular collaboration with corporate teams, including Central Purchasing, Account Management, Human Resources, and IT, is also required.

Qualifications:
  • Preferred 2 years of sales experience
  • Prior experience in the building materials sector is advantageous
  • Proficient in operating a personal computer, smartphone, scanner, and other necessary equipment
  • Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
  • Possession of a Class C Driver's License or reliable alternative transportation
  • Knowledge of building materials and their applications
  • Preparedness for individual and group sales meetings
  • Aptitude for meeting or exceeding ambitious sales targets
  • Ability to implement PARR's sales strategies and processes
  • Flexibility and adaptability to the dynamic needs of PARR and its customers
  • Capability to work effectively with diverse personality types and work styles
  • Strong attention to detail in a busy office environment

The working conditions for this role are a blend of office time and outdoor interactions with potential and existing clients.

Requirements include:

  • Ability to work indoors in a standard office setting for extended periods
  • Capacity to grasp, speak, hear, and operate a computer and keyboard
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Potential for local and overnight travel
