We are seeking a Retail Sales Representative, Full-Time Overnight who is eager to explore their potential, develop professionally, and enjoy the benefits of being part of the SMART FOODSERVICE STORES LLC family.

Key Responsibilities

The SMART FOODSERVICE STORES LLC Retail Sales Representative plays a crucial role in fostering an environment of exceptional customer service, aligning with our mission: Quality Food, Made Simple. As an essential member of our workforce, you will take on various roles, including Cashier, Stock Associate, and Customer Service Representative, demonstrating a passion for service in every aspect of your work. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Engaging with customers on the sales floor in departments such as Meat/Frozen, Produce/Dairy, and Dry Goods/Culinary Equipment.
  • Restocking merchandise and ensuring proper product rotation.
  • Assisting during special events, such as Vendor Fairs and inventory counts.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Front End Operations:

  • Provide an outstanding SMART FOODSERVICE STORES LLC experience by building and nurturing relationships with customers.
  • Utilize training and skills acquired to deliver exemplary service.
  • Conduct sales and cash transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring each item's barcode is correctly processed.
  • Perform cart inspections and assist with store opening and closing tasks as assigned.

Sales Floor and Stocking Duties:

  • Focus on driving sales while managing inventory effectively.
  • Assist in receiving and organizing inventory, maintaining neat and orderly shelves.
  • Ensure all products are correctly labeled and priced.
  • Utilize equipment such as reach trucks and pallet jacks for stocking purposes.
  • Participate in inventory management and cycle counts as needed.

Customer Service Excellence:

  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for both staff and customers by adhering to safety protocols.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the sales floor and assist in maintaining the overall appearance of the store.
  • Gather and organize shopping carts from the parking area.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Work is conducted in a retail setting, with exposure to varying weather conditions.
  • Noise levels are typically moderate, and physical interaction with customers is a regular part of the role.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 6-12 months of experience in retail cashiering or stocking is required.
  • Preferred: One year of experience in retail sales or customer service.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong desire to provide exceptional customer service and assist team members.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively, with effective time management skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to perform physical tasks as required for the role.
