Our client is a reputable non-union general contractor located in the St. Louis region, specializing in commercial construction endeavors valued at over $5 million. They are currently undergoing a transformation in their operational procedures to facilitate growth, with ambitious plans to double their project volume and revenue annually. The company prides itself on a strong organizational culture, characterized by an open-door policy that encourages employee feedback and continuous improvement.

Position Overview
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to budget, oversee, and project subcontractor labor, equipment, materials, and tools.
  • Direct, schedule, and manage the activities of laborers, subcontractors, and deliveries.
  • Ensure all documentation and reports are completed accurately and punctually.
  • Maintain communication with the owner and their representatives regarding construction progress.
  • Regularly update the project manager on job status, plans, and any issues that may impact costs or timelines.
  • Keep a daily log to document significant project events, conditions, visitors, and communications.
  • Exhibit leadership capabilities, addressing challenges, guiding teams, and resolving conflicts effectively.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and field personnel.
Candidate Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Superintendent role within the construction industry.
  • Experience in ground-up construction is essential.
  • Proven track record managing projects valued at $5 million or more.
  • Experience overseeing all aspects of daily job site operations.
  • Strong communication skills with Project Managers, subcontractors, engineers, and architects.
  • A solid carpentry background is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Procore software.
  • Must be non-union or willing to freeze union membership.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive base salary ranging from $105,000 to $120,000, depending on experience.
