Position Overview: This role is pivotal in overseeing the financial functions of Auxiliary Services, which includes: 1) financial reporting and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, 2) transaction management, approval, and processing, and 3) maintaining robust internal controls alongside 4) ensuring compliance with University, Federal, International, and other relevant regulations and policies.

This position acts as the primary contact and resource for departmental managers and directors concerning budgetary and financial matters.

Key Responsibilities: Directs projects associated with the financial operations of various services including Dining Services, Whittemore House, Residential Life, Fraternity and Sorority Life, Summer Conferences, and Program Services.

Manages the transition related to financial systems integration, specifically Atrium and Starrez into Workday from a financial perspective.

Conducts financial analyses pertinent to the operations of all mentioned services, responding to requests from the Manager of Financial Operations, Director of Auxiliary Enterprises, and other departmental leaders.

Develops and maintains comprehensive policy and procedure manuals that provide step-by-step guidance for daily, weekly, monthly, and annual tasks across all software utilized by the services, including Workday, Adaptive Planning, Atrium, and Starrez.

Evaluates the accounting systems and processes employed by Dining Services, aiming to enhance efficiency and facilitate system improvements.

Initiates and leads the implementation of process enhancements to boost efficiency and achieve cost savings.

Participates in committee meetings to integrate the financial aspects of student housing and food services into the overall student experience.

Performs additional duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Project Management and familiarity with WorkDay, StarRez, and/or CBord/Odyssey.

Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills; a service-oriented communicator who is approachable and a collaborative team player, capable of uniting groups around complex financial issues.

Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills and is self-motivated, driven by challenges with the ability to work independently while maintaining high reliability, accuracy, and productivity.

Exhibits strong analytical skills and the ability to assess relevant data, developing effective frameworks for practical solutions to intricate issues.

Knowledge of internal controls and various accounting system applications is essential.

Proficient in researching and reporting on accounting and technical issues, with a focus on streamlining and automating transaction processing and recording.

Experience with personal computers and proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and database management software is required.

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Required Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, accompanied by three to five years of relevant work experience.

Grade: G12

Salary Range: $58,000 - $99,700.00 / Annually
The salary range reflects base salaries for positions within a specific job grade across the organization. Individual compensation will be determined by qualifications, performance, and market rates.
