Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead initiatives in business development to identify, assess, and secure long-term contractual agreements with clients while nurturing relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Strategize and negotiate intricate, multi-year logistics and warehousing contracts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales operations, marketing, solution engineering, and operations, to ensure alignment with GXO Americas & APAC's overarching strategy and objectives.
  • Identify emerging market opportunities and devise strategies to cultivate new relationships that generate revenue or support revenue for other sales teams within the organization.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and competitor activities, leveraging insights to shape business development strategies.
  • Represent the organization at industry events and conferences, engaging with stakeholders to enhance the company's brand and reputation.
  • Develop, manage, and provide regular updates on the status and performance of GXO partnerships and their contributions to the organization.
Qualifications for Success at GXO:

To be considered, you will need:
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional or military experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in business development or sales within contract logistics or distribution.
  • Proven executive-level sales leadership experience.
  • A track record of success in selling third-party logistics (3PL) services.
  • The ability to manage a sales pipeline of prospects and multiple business development proposals.
It would be advantageous if you also possess:
  • An MBA.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to engage with partners and attend industry trade events.
  • Experience and a network within the Consumer/Supply Chain sector, along with a demonstrated history of successfully negotiating and managing client partnerships.
  • Strong time and project management capabilities, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting clear, organized, and thorough information and data tailored to the intended audience.
