UAT Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Title: QA/UAT Analyst
Contract Length: 12+ months (W2 contract)
Overview:
- This position is with a prominent retail organization, focusing on their Point of Sale (POS) team. They are seeking a candidate with extensive experience in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to contribute effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execution: Implement test scripts to perform Systems Integration, Smoke Testing, and End-to-End transactions on LIFT and Smart Checkout systems in a controlled lab setting.
- Gathering: Work closely with end-users to collect insightful feedback regarding software performance and user interaction.
- Identification: Record and report any issues discovered during UAT, providing detailed reproduction steps and impact assessments in Jira.
- Environment Validation: Ensure that testing environments are properly configured to mirror production conditions for UAT activities.
- Testing Support: Aid in regression testing efforts to confirm that fixes and new updates do not introduce additional issues affecting users.
- Documentation: Develop and sustain test cases, scripts, and results in Jira based on outlined requirements.
- Escalations: Assist in troubleshooting support escalations to identify root causes.
- Management: Maintain test data to address diverse scenarios and guarantee thorough test coverage.
- Accounting Transaction Reconciliation: Conduct daily reconciliation and reporting of accounting transactions.
- Collaboration: Report to the IT Manager, work alongside other IT Analysts engaged in testing, and coordinate with Development Partners (both internal and external), Product Managers, Retail Systems, and Global Shared Services.
Required Skills:
- Demonstrated experience in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) within a software testing framework.
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies, UAT processes, and the software development lifecycle.
- Familiarity with bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira) and test management applications.
- Strong communication skills to articulate UAT findings to various stakeholders.
- Meticulous attention to detail and analytical capabilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of pertinent experience in UAT testing.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is advantageous.
- Familiarity with testing tools and methodologies.
- Capability to work collaboratively across multiple teams in a dynamic environment.
