Job Overview

The Quality Assurance and Control Specialist plays a vital role within the Business Services division, contributing to the Compliance and Safety team. This position is accountable for the execution of the Premise One and/or project-specific QA/QC initiatives. The Specialist offers quality assurance support throughout the project lifecycle, from initial planning to final completion.

In collaboration with the Project Manager, Foreman, and Premise One business units, the responsibilities encompass the inspection of materials, processes, and products to ensure adherence to Company, industry, and client quality standards and regulations. The Specialist is also tasked with implementing quality management strategies and fostering continuous enhancement of the company's QA/QC policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate compliance with Corporate and Client-specific quality and commissioning frameworks.
  • Evaluate installation techniques for alignment with Premise One and project contract specifications.
  • Conduct regular meetings with the safety manager and foreman before commencing new construction or installation phases to guarantee safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Perform routine site evaluations, generating comprehensive reports that identify any installation deficiencies, and conduct follow-up inspections to verify corrective measures are executed.
  • Assist in the creation of internal auditing tools and tracking systems to produce data-driven quality improvement strategies.
  • Carry out regular internal audits and inspections, either independently or in collaboration with Inspection teams, to ensure adherence to quality and safety protocols.
  • Contribute to the formulation of company policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Provide quality planning and support to various departments or site crews.
  • Lead or assist in regulatory and quality training sessions.
  • Support quality management documentation and recordkeeping, including final QA/QC control submissions or turnover packages.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned based on the role's responsibilities within the business unit.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years of field construction experience as a Low Voltage Foreman.
  • Experience with physical security systems such as VMS/surveillance, access control systems, or audio-visual technology is highly advantageous.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient decision-making and problem-solving abilities.

Requirements:

  • Willingness to work overtime as dictated by construction/service schedules.
  • Availability for on-call support for 24/7 Client SLAs and/or emergencies.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, including:
    • A minimum of 30% travel within the local market.
    • Willingness to travel out of town up to 25%.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Capability to walk, sit, and stand for extended periods.
  • Possession of a clean driving record and a valid US driver's license.
