Position Overview

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the highest standards of quality in our software products. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity of our data systems and enhancing our development processes.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years in system development.
  • Testing Expertise: At least 2 years of experience in data quality testing, testable requirements, and continuous integration.
  • Agile Methodology: 2 years of experience working within an Agile framework.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: 5 years in system development.
  • Agile Experience: 5 years working in an Agile environment.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the airline industry is a plus.
Essential Skills and Certifications
  • Proficient in systems flow engineering documentation, tools, and architectural concepts.
  • Strong understanding of business systems and industry requirements, with comprehensive technical knowledge of systems analysis.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and quality product delivery.
  • Experience in developing and executing both manual and automated test cases for software applications, ensuring the reliability of data pipelines and ETL processes.
  • Conduct end-to-end integration testing across multiple independent systems and interfaces, including flat files, APIs, and ETL pipelines.
  • Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing of databases and data stores using industry-standard technologies such as SQL and Python.
  • Utilize Azure Data services and data stores to validate data integration and migration processes.
  • Work closely with developers and quality assurance teams to create domain models, sequence diagrams, use case diagrams, and operational contracts.
  • Experience in application administration, systems support, or development is preferred.
  • Manage user stories within an Agile software development process.
  • Adaptability to unexpected events and rapidly changing circumstances is essential.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment while leveraging best practices with a proactive attitude.
  • Proficient in technical documentation.
