About the Role

Cedars-Sinai is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative II to join our team in the General Surgery Clinic. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will provide exceptional support to our patients, providers, and staff, ensuring seamless coordination of patient care and administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Phone and Email Support: Answer and triage calls, directing patients to the appropriate individuals or departments, and respond to emails in a timely and professional manner.
  • Scheduling and Authorization: Schedule appointments, surgeries, and ancillary services, and obtain necessary authorizations and referrals.
  • Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits, and process claims as needed.
  • Referral and Mail Management: Process and track incoming and outgoing referrals, and sort and deposit mail in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with various administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience working with insurance companies and obtaining authorizations.
