Position Overview:
United E&C is actively seeking a Nuclear Engineering Consultant to join our dynamic team. This role will be pivotal in facilitating communication between clients and our engineering team, specifically in the realm of design modification packages for nuclear facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a representative for United E&C, serving as a liaison between clients and the engineering department.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior staff, ensuring adherence to company and project protocols.
  • Strategically plan and oversee work activities to guarantee successful project outcomes while upholding safety, quality, schedule, and budget standards.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers, showcasing leadership within your area of expertise.
  • Supervise and assign tasks to team members effectively.
  • Monitor daily operations, proactively identifying potential challenges or opportunities, analyzing issues, and formulating optimal solutions.
  • Leverage knowledge of resources and capabilities from other teams to enhance project execution.
  • Maintain a clear understanding of project scope and contractual obligations relevant to your responsibilities.
  • Prepare and deliver formal status reports and presentations to clients and management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution, with a focus on energy conversion and power systems.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License in any state, with the ability to obtain licensure in additional states.
  • Relevant experience in a nuclear power plant environment.
  • Capability to secure and maintain unescorted access to nuclear facilities.
  • Proven experience collaborating within a project team setting.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in prioritizing and organizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in an Engineering discipline, particularly with a focus on Power.
  • Field experience or walkdowns on power-related projects.
  • Experience with Power Uprate Projects.
