We are currently seeking a highly skilled Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and interpersonal skills to tackle complex projects for our nuclear sector clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a team of engineers and designers to develop modification packages.
  • Execute intricate engineering tasks, including the creation of specifications, data sheets, calculations, and updates to existing plant documentation.
  • Support proposal efforts, prepare purchase requisitions, and review vendor documentation.
  • Develop cost estimates, budget plans, and scope of work documents.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Controls Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in design, operations, or field service within power generation or heavy industrial environments.
  • At least 3 years of experience related to the design, operation, or maintenance of nuclear power plants in the United States.
  • Proven experience in leading engineering teams and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, clients, contractors, and vendors.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Eligibility to obtain unescorted access to a nuclear facility.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience at an operational nuclear facility.
  • Familiarity with CAD software for technical drawing preparation or revision.
  • Knowledge of the Nuclear standard Design Process and experience in creating engineering drawings such as wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and logic diagrams for plant modifications.
  • Experience in preparing specifications for control systems of plant processes and auxiliary systems.
  • Capability to prepare and review logic diagrams and system functional descriptions for control logic implementation.
  • Experience in evaluating and specifying instrumentation for pressure, temperature, flow, and level measurements.
  • Experience in performing calculations for nuclear instrumentation, including set-points.
  • Supervisory experience in leading project teams, including preparation of estimates, schedules, and performance monitoring.
