Job Summary
The GW Medical Faculty Associates seeks a skilled Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, working under the supervision of physicians to deliver diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, manage stable and chronic illnesses, and provide counseling.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations and identify potential health issues.
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations and gather patient data.
- Write prescriptions, order laboratory tests, and interpret results.
- Monitor patient progress and respond to treatment outcomes.
- Document patient findings and treatment plans in medical records.
- Develop and implement effective therapeutic interventions.
- Collaborate with consultants and healthcare professionals as needed.
- Provide patient education and counseling on health-related topics.
- Supervise and mentor NP, PA, and medical students as required.
Requirements
- NP: Master's degree in nursing and completion of an approved nurse practitioner program.
- PA: Master's degree as a physician assistant and completion of an approved physician assistant program.
Physical Demands
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods in a clinical setting.
- Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of objects over 100 pounds.
- Regular exposure to a healthcare environment that may require personal protective equipment.
- Manual dexterity to operate computer equipment and other devices.
