Job Summary

The GW Medical Faculty Associates seeks a skilled Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, working under the supervision of physicians to deliver diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, manage stable and chronic illnesses, and provide counseling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations and identify potential health issues.
  • Perform comprehensive physical examinations and gather patient data.
  • Write prescriptions, order laboratory tests, and interpret results.
  • Monitor patient progress and respond to treatment outcomes.
  • Document patient findings and treatment plans in medical records.
  • Develop and implement effective therapeutic interventions.
  • Collaborate with consultants and healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Provide patient education and counseling on health-related topics.
  • Supervise and mentor NP, PA, and medical students as required.

Requirements

  • NP: Master's degree in nursing and completion of an approved nurse practitioner program.
  • PA: Master's degree as a physician assistant and completion of an approved physician assistant program.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods in a clinical setting.
  • Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of objects over 100 pounds.
  • Regular exposure to a healthcare environment that may require personal protective equipment.
  • Manual dexterity to operate computer equipment and other devices.
