Key Responsibilities- Work collaboratively with our DispatchHealth Medical Technicians (DHMTs) to provide comprehensive health assessments, diagnose, and treat complex illnesses.
- Perform therapeutic interventions, such as splinting, suturing, wound care, and minor procedures, as needed.
- Utilize critical thinking skills and evidence-based standards of practice to ensure accurate and effective patient care.
- Document patient encounters thoroughly and accurately, ensuring continuity of care.
- Analyze test data to diagnose, treat, and arrange follow-up care for patients.
- Educate patients and families on managing their acute illness and promoting overall health and well-being.
- Navigate complex conversations related to end-of-life issues and goals of care with empathy and compassion.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, primary care providers, and other healthcare professionals involved in patient care.
- Identify and proactively solve problems to ensure seamless patient care.
- Adhere to clinical and safety standards, protocols, and performance metrics.
- Provide care with compassion, empathy, and cultural competency, embodying our company values.
- Minimum of two years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in Emergency Department, Urgent Care, Internal Medicine, Hospital, Family Practice, Cardiac, Pulmonary, or other relevant areas.
- Graduate with an advanced degree from an accredited institution.
- Current unrestricted state license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Nationally board certified, current.
- Current BLS required, ACLS certification preferred.
- Prescriptive authority and DEA.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work a varied schedule with evenings, holidays, and weekends required.
