Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at HexaQuEST Health, Inc. in Washington, DC. As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our oncology and hematology services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess the physical and psychosocial status of patients through interview, health history, physical examination, and diagnostic studies.
  • Write prescriptions for medication, blood products, and other treatments based on laboratory results and written practice protocols.
  • Determine eligibility of patients for entry into clinical trials and interpret findings of studies/tests.
  • Relay appropriate information regarding patient care to collaborating physicians.
  • Administer therapeutic measures and obtain specimens as prescribed.
  • Dictate follow-up letters to referring physicians with summaries of treatment, response, and plan.
  • Document and report care in an accurate, timely manner using appropriate forms and records.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant program.
  • Master's degree required.
  • PRN or PA license in appropriate state.
  • Prescriptive privileges or eligible to apply.
  • Current certification from ANCC or ONS (AOCN-P).
  • Current BLS.
  • Minimum 5 years experience as APRN or PA, specifically in Oncology.
Core Capabilities:
  • Critical thinking skills, including solid problem-solving, analysis, decision-making, planning, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Developed interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, diplomacy, tact, conflict management, delegation skills, and diversity awareness.
  • Good command of the English language. Second language is an asset but not required.
  • Effective communication skills (oral, written, presentation), active listening, and balanced feedback.
