Position Summary

We are actively seeking a dedicated Bistro Service Associate to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with guests and team members in a friendly, attentive, and service-oriented manner.
  • Assess daily meeting room requirements and prepare accordingly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all Bistro equipment and areas, including the Speed Cook Oven, Barista Station, and Dining Room.
  • Ensure compliance with attendance standards as per Arbor Lodging's scheduling needs.
  • Keep display coolers fully stocked and ensure trash receptacles are emptied and sanitized.
  • Complete closing shift responsibilities efficiently.
  • Restock supplies as necessary.
  • Perform bartender duties, including setup, service, and menu knowledge.
  • Uphold high standards of personal grooming and appearance, including proper uniform and name tag.
  • Adhere to Arbor Lodging's standards and regulations to promote safe and efficient operations.
  • Provide guests with all food and beverage needs in a warm and professional manner.
  • Clear, clean, and reset tables as required.
  • Ensure the Bistro is well-stocked for both morning and evening service.
  • Accommodate special requests from guests and suggest suitable alternatives.
  • Familiarize yourself with the operation of the Point of Sale (P.O.S.) system.
  • Greet guests promptly and ensure menu cleanliness and presentation.
  • Answer phone calls according to company standards.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of service standards and menu offerings.
  • Handle cashiering functions, including closing checks and end-of-shift paperwork.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures along with side work duties.
  • Exhibit attentiveness, friendliness, and helpfulness towards guests and colleagues.
  • Participate in required management meetings.
  • Complete any additional tasks as assigned by management.

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; experience in hospitality or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills to convey information clearly.
  • Ability to evaluate and select among various courses of action swiftly and accurately.
  • Capability to perform well in high-pressure situations.
  • Effective listening skills to understand and address concerns raised by guests and colleagues.
  • Basic understanding of financial information and arithmetic functions.
  • Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
