Position Overview

Arbor Lodging Management is a prominent hotel investment and management firm overseeing a diverse portfolio of hotels throughout the United States. We are currently in search of a

Bistro Attendant

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with guests and team members in a friendly, attentive, and service-focused manner.
  • Assess daily meeting room requirements and prepare accordingly.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all Bistro equipment and areas, including the Speed Cook Oven, Barista Station, and Dining Room.
  • Adhere to attendance standards as per Arbor Lodging policies, with schedules varying based on hotel needs.
  • Ensure display coolers are well-stocked and trash receptacles are emptied and sanitized.
  • Complete closing shift responsibilities thoroughly.
  • Restock supplies as necessary.
  • Perform bartender duties, including setup, service, and menu knowledge.
  • Uphold high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including proper uniform and name tag.
  • Comply with Arbor Lodging standards and regulations to promote safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Serve guests with all food and beverage needs in a warm, professional manner.
  • Clear, clean, and reset tables as required.
  • Ensure the Bistro is stocked with necessary items for both AM and PM service.
  • Accommodate special requests from guests or suggest suitable alternatives.
  • Familiarize yourself with the operation of the P.O.S. system.
  • Greet guests promptly and ensure menu cleanliness and presentation.
  • Answer phone calls in accordance with established standards.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of service standards and menu offerings.
  • Carry out cashiering functions, including closing checks and end-of-shift paperwork.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures and side work duties as assigned.
  • Maintain a friendly, helpful, and courteous demeanor towards guests and colleagues.
  • Attend required meetings as directed by management.
  • Execute any additional tasks as requested by management.

Qualifications:

Successful candidates will possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with prior experience in hospitality or a related field preferred. Strong communication skills, the ability to make quick decisions, and a calm demeanor in high-pressure situations are essential. Candidates should also be proficient in understanding financial information and basic arithmetic.
