Position Overview

Arbor Lodging Management is a prominent hotel investment and management firm overseeing a diverse range of hotels throughout the United States. We are currently in search of a

Bistro Attendant

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with guests and colleagues in a friendly, attentive, and service-focused manner.
  • Assess daily meeting room requirements and prepare accordingly.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all Bistro equipment and areas, including the Speed Cook Oven, Barista Station, Dining Room, and Prep-cooler.
  • Adhere to attendance policies in line with Arbor Lodging standards, with scheduling flexibility based on hotel needs.
  • Ensure the display cooler is adequately stocked and that trash receptacles are emptied and sanitized.
  • Complete closing shift duties and restock areas as necessary.
  • Perform bartender duties, including setup, service, menu knowledge, and closing procedures.
  • Uphold high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including proper uniform and name tag usage.
  • Comply with Arbor Lodging standards and regulations to promote safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Provide guests with all food and beverage needs in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.
  • Clear, clean, and reset tables as required.
  • Ensure the Bistro is stocked with all necessary items for both AM and PM service.
  • Accommodate special requests from guests or suggest suitable alternatives.
  • Familiarize yourself with the operation of the P.O.S. system.
  • Greet guests promptly and ensure menus are clean and well-presented.
  • Answer phone calls in accordance with established standards.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of service standards and menu offerings.
  • Handle cashiering functions, including closing checks and end-of-shift paperwork.
  • Execute opening and closing procedures along with side work duties.
  • Maintain a friendly, helpful, and courteous demeanor towards guests and fellow employees at all times.
  • Attend meetings as required by management.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with experience in hospitality or a related field preferred.
  • Strong communication skills to convey information clearly.
  • Ability to quickly evaluate and select among alternative courses of action.
  • Capability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong listening skills to understand and clarify concerns raised by guests and coworkers.
  • Basic understanding of financial information and arithmetic functions.
  • Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
