Position Overview

We are currently looking for a

Bistro Service Associate

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with guests and team members in a friendly, attentive, and service-oriented manner.
  • Assess daily meeting room requirements and prepare accordingly.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all Bistro equipment and areas, including the Speed Cook Oven, Barista Station, and Dining Room.
  • Adhere to regular attendance as per Arbor Lodging standards, which may vary based on hotel needs.
  • Ensure display cooler is well-stocked and organized.
  • Keep trash receptacles clean and emptied, using appropriate liners.
  • Complete closing shift responsibilities effectively.
  • Restock supplies as necessary.
  • Perform bartender duties, including setup, service, and menu knowledge.
  • Maintain high standards of personal grooming and uniform compliance.
  • Follow Arbor Lodging standards and regulations to promote safe and efficient operations.
  • Serve guests with all food and beverage needs in a warm and professional manner.
  • Clear, clean, and reset tables as required.
  • Ensure Bistro is adequately stocked for both AM and PM service.
  • Accommodate special requests from guests or provide suitable alternatives.
  • Familiarize yourself with the operation of the Point of Sale (P.O.S.) system.
  • Greet guests promptly and courteously.
  • Ensure menus are clean and visually appealing.
  • Answer phone calls in accordance with established standards.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of service standards.
  • Be well-versed in menu items and current specials.
  • Carry out cashiering functions, including closing checks and end-of-shift paperwork.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures and side work duties.
  • Maintain a friendly and helpful demeanor towards guests and colleagues at all times.
  • Attend meetings as required by management.
  • Complete any additional tasks as assigned by management.

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; experience in hospitality or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills to convey information clearly.
  • Ability to evaluate and select among various courses of action quickly and accurately.
  • Capability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent listening skills to understand and address concerns raised by guests and coworkers.
  • Basic understanding of financial information and arithmetic functions.
  • Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
