We are currently in search of dedicated and reliable Heavy Vehicle Technicians to assist with the testing, performance evaluation, and maintenance of heavy vehicles. The successful candidates will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on pre-production test vehicles, conducting safety inspections, executing specialized testing procedures, and documenting findings in a clear and concise manner.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct tests and repairs with meticulous attention to detail.
- Document tests, repairs, and configurations in clear and understandable notes.
- Fabricate and install necessary instrumentation for testing.
- Be adaptable and willing to travel or operate a tractor-trailer for extended shifts when required.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned, including shop maintenance, oil changes, engine overhauls, and driving duties.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- At least two years of experience as a heavy-duty mechanic.
- Familiarity with diagnostic programs and a willingness to learn new technologies.
- Availability to work weekends or overtime when test validation is necessary.
- Highly organized, committed to assignments, and dedicated to safety.
- Proficient in using current electronic office equipment and software, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Able to collaborate effectively in a diverse and challenging environment.
- Strong command of the English language with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with machine shop tools and fabrication is a plus.
- A valid Commercial Driver's License, Class A is advantageous.
- High School Diploma or equivalent education is required; an Associate degree in Automotive or a related field is preferred.
- A clean driving record is essential.
- General knowledge of commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) is beneficial.
- Willingness to accept temporary assignments away from the primary test facility.
Important Considerations:
- This is a safety-sensitive position requiring all candidates to be drug-free and pass a DOT drug screening prior to employment.
- Physical demands include standing, bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, and lifting items weighing up to 50 lbs or more.
- Ability to perform essential job functions in an environment with varying noise levels.
- The work environment may be dusty, noisy, and subject to temperature fluctuations.
