Key Responsibilities- Test and Validation: Perform instructed tests and repairs with great attention to detail, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standard.
- Documentation: Document tests, repairs, and configurations in descriptive and understandable notes, providing clear and concise information for future reference.
- Instrumentation: Fabricate and install instrumentation as required to perform tests, ensuring that all equipment is properly calibrated and functioning correctly.
- Travel and Flexibility: Be flexible and willing to travel and/or drive a tractor-trailer for full shifts when needed, as required by the role.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned, including cleaning the shop, oil changes, engine overhauls, driving, and other tasks as required.
- Experience: Minimum of two years of heavy-duty mechanic experience, with a strong understanding of diagnostic programs and a willingness to learn new diagnostic programs.
- Skills: Be highly organized, dedicated to assignments, and committed to safety, with a good command of the English language and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent education, with an Associate degree in Automotive or a related field being a plus.
- Licenses and Certifications: A Commercial Driver's License, Class A is a plus, and a clean motor vehicle driving record is necessary.
- Other: General knowledge of CMVs, ability to work cooperatively in a diverse and challenging environment, and a willingness to accept temporary assignments away from the home test facility.
