Job Summary

As a Patient Care Tech at SSM Health, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others and be part of a dynamic healthcare team.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in performing various nursing care services for patients, including bathing, ambulating, feeding, and personal hygiene.
  • Collect and document patient data for admission assessments and reassessments, and provide information to licensed nurses for analysis and validation.
  • Contribute to a safe and quality care environment by communicating effectively with team members and relaying important information.
  • Inform licensed nurses of patient changes, complaints, and educational needs, and assist with delegated clerical duties such as answering phones and preparing medical records.
  • Perform mechanical and manual operations of equipment, and work in a constant state of alertness and safety.
Requirements
  • Passing grade on state-specific exam required.
  • No experience required.
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification from the relevant state department of health.
Work Environment

This role is located in a medical/surgical setting and requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of patient interaction.
