We are seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Manager to join our team at Veritiv. As a key member of our sustainability team, you will play a critical role in ensuring our products and services meet the highest standards of environmental responsibility.
Key Responsibilities- Regulatory Compliance: Provide guidance on Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) and other relevant regulations that apply to our products, advising on new and existing compliant product offerings that assist customers in achieving their sustainability goals.
- Sustainability Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert to Veritiv's sales teams and customers, providing expertise on sustainability attributes requirements and product regulations.
- Innovation Management: Lead the innovation funnel related to sustainability products, researching new materials, and coordinating efforts to bring products to market.
- Customer Engagement: Communicate to customers and sellers on the value of Sustainability in everything we do, demonstrating Veritiv's capabilities in areas of product regulations and sustainability attributes requirements.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Interface with Legal, Sales, Category Management, Suppliers, Customers, and 3rd Party Qualifiers on product compliance and sustainability topics, and periodically coach sales and sales support teams in regulatory and sustainability matters.
- Experience: 10-15 years of related job experience, with 1-3 years of successful supervisory/management experience required to motivate and develop direct reports.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree.
- Skills: Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong customer service skills.
