Job Title: Regulatory Compliance Manager

QED National is seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Compliance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining a strong reputation in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Regulatory Compliance: Assist and support the company by liaising with internal and external stakeholders on matters of regulatory compliance.
  • Strategic Direction: Contribute to the business-wide strategy and assist the Director with strategic direction.
  • Regulatory Communication: Serve as a point-of-entry in communicating with regulatory bodies, including FMC, DOT, and other state and local investigators and inspectors.
  • Process Improvement: Evaluate business needs and recommend process improvements designed to enhance regulatory compliance.
  • Project Management: Lead the analysis, design, and implementation of company-wide cross-functional projects and process improvement efforts for regulatory-related matters.
  • Staff Support: Provide staff with guidance in handling difficult or complex problems and in resolving complex, escalated complaints or disputes.
  • Training and Orientation: Lead training and orientation programs to inform the staff on compliance policies and standards.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Maintain current knowledge of regulations applicable to the company and monitor potential regulatory changes affecting company operations.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 7 years of experience in the Maritime Industry or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: Prior project management experience preferred, as well as previous experience working closely with a governmental body responding to requests and audits.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply a logical and systematic approach to analyzing and assembling relevant information from multiple sources.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to actively share information with others and reinforce people for contributing ideas and opinions.
