Job Title: Construction Compliance Specialist

GeorgiaGov is seeking a highly skilled Construction Compliance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and review construction projects to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and regulations.
  • Conduct site observations to identify potential issues and ensure that work is being performed in accordance with approved plans and specifications.
  • Document and report any non-compliance issues or concerns to relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with construction professionals, design professionals, and project managers to resolve issues and ensure project success.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; four-year degree in engineering, construction management, or architecture preferred.
  • Minimum of four years of experience in a construction-related field, with a strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel statewide and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Successful completion of the GSFIC internship program.
  • Eight years of experience in a construction-related field, with a strong track record of compliance and regulatory expertise.
Work Environment:

This is a field position that requires frequent travel to construction sites, which may be subject to outside conditions. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
