Job Title: Regulatory Compliance Manager

Join a leading global company in the Atlanta metropolitan area as a Regulatory Compliance Manager. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with chemical control and other product-related regulations, as well as providing legislative advocacy within the Americas region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor development of chemical-related regulations and develop plans to mitigate consequences and identify opportunities for new product developments.
  • Develop processes and systems to ensure compliance with new and existing regulations.
  • Prepare and submit notifications or registrations to authorities to enable compliant marketing of company products.
  • Assess and communicate compliance status of company products to internal and external customers.
  • Interact with authorities to support ongoing notifications, request clarifications, or handle inspections.
  • Collaborate with the Global Hazard Communication team to ensure Hazcom documents are compliant with current regional regulations.
  • Determine and propose regional participation in business teams, trade associations, and advocacy groups.
  • Manage Product Stewardship Compliance Form submissions through Product Steward Network.
  • Coordinate activities for multiple plant products.
  • Train business partners on regulatory requirements affecting products to ensure business compliance.
  • Manage Product Regulatory Compliance aspect of Management of Change.
  • Responsible for Product Regulatory Compliance of new products through the AIMS process.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in the Chemical industry, with coatings/inks industry experience a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in US and overseas involving Chemical Regulatory Compliance, with knowledge of FDA or other American or International Chemical Control Laws and Regulations a plus.
  • Fluent English is required, with Spanish or Portuguese language knowledge a plus.
  • Technical management or senior technical specialist experience with Chemical Regulatory Compliance is required.
  • Hazcom experience is a plus.
  • Organic chemistry is best, but non-organic will also be considered.
  • Petro chemical experience is a plus.
  • Very good communication skills are needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related field such as Chemical Engineering or Toxicology is required.
