About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to fill the role of Director of Scheduling. This role is essential within a boutique cost management firm that operates in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) sector. The firm is well-known for its exemplary work on significant projects and is eager to find a candidate with your qualifications.

Position Overview:

As a Scheduler, you will be instrumental in developing schedules from the initial concept phase through to project completion. This position is ideal for a mid-level scheduler interested in engaging with federal and public sector architectural and engineering design initiatives. The role provides ample opportunities for career advancement, leadership training, and mentorship alongside our project management team. This position will be based full-time in the office, working on a diverse array of projects.

Key Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of recent experience in construction scheduling utilizing Primavera P6 software within project controls.
  • Proven expertise in Earned Value Management, time-impact analysis, and the assessment of delay claims and change orders.
  • Experience with MTA agencies and railroad projects is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Ability to generate both simple and complex analytical schedule reports.
  • Experience with Power Business Intelligence (BI) is preferred.
  • Strong comprehension of drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of construction processes and methodologies.
  • Preferred certifications include Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE) in planning and scheduling or Project Management Professional (PMP).
