Position Overview

Hirewell is collaborating with a top-tier contractor recognized in the ENR Top 20 to identify a Senior Scheduler. This role is based in the New York metropolitan area, focusing on candidates with extensive experience in large-scale commercial construction projects exceeding $250 million, particularly in high-rise buildings, office spaces, stadiums, multifamily residences, and healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate comprehensive project schedules encompassing all project phases from pre-construction to close-out.
  • Monitor, update, and report on the progress and performance of project schedules.
  • Oversee project timelines, addressing updates and delays as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Project Construction and Management Teams to create and sustain project schedules.
  • Generate schedule fragnets for Time Impact Analyses and scenario assessments.
  • Conduct Time Impact Analyses for both completed and ongoing projects.
  • Facilitate Pull Planning Sessions with construction teams, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Lead schedule review meetings with construction and project management teams.
  • Gather scheduling data from various logs, including Change Orders, Procurement, Submittals, RFIs, and Billing/Requisitions.
  • Support the Scheduling Manager in developing, reviewing, and reporting on project schedules.
  • Assist in areas such as earned value analysis (EVM), cost/resource loading, claims, and other scheduling tasks.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in project scheduling.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in scheduling for construction projects at both project and program levels.
  • Hands-on experience with public projects, including buildings, infrastructure, and commercial construction.
  • Strong team-building capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under the guidance of the Scheduling Manager.
