Position Overview

Hirewell is collaborating with a prestigious ENR Top 20 Contractor to identify a Chief Estimator and Senior Scheduler based in the New York metropolitan area. Ideal candidates will possess substantial experience in large-scale commercial construction projects (valued at $250M+) encompassing high-rise buildings, office complexes, stadiums, multifamily residences, and healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate comprehensive project schedules spanning all project phases from pre-construction to close-out.
  • Monitor, update, and report on the progress and performance of project schedules.
  • Oversee project schedules, providing updates on progress and addressing any delays.
  • Collaborate with Project Construction and Management Teams to create and sustain project schedules.
  • Generate schedule fragnets and integrate them into the schedule for Time Impact Analyses and scenario evaluations.
  • Conduct Time Impact Analyses for completed, ongoing, and prospective work.
  • Facilitate Pull Planning Sessions with the Construction Field Team, Consultants, and Subcontractors.
  • Lead schedule review meetings with the Construction Field Team and/or Project Management Team.
  • Gather scheduling data from various logs (e.g., Change Orders, Procurement, Submittals, RFIs, Billing/Requisitions, Commissioning, Close-out) and input it into the project schedule.
  • Support the Scheduling Manager in the development, review, and reporting of Project Schedules.
  • Assist the Scheduling Manager with tasks related to earned value analysis (EVM), cost/resource loading and modeling, claims, and other scheduling-related activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in project scheduling.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Excel.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in scheduling at both project and program levels.
  • Hands-on experience with public projects, including buildings, infrastructure, water/wastewater, and commercial construction is preferred.
  • Strong team-building capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks with guidance from the Scheduling Manager.
