Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and attentive front desk agent who can provide an exceptional guest experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for greeting and registering guests, providing prompt and courteous service, and closing out guest accounts upon completion of stay.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Greeting customers immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome
  • Using a positive and clear speaking voice, listening to understand requests, and responding with appropriate action
  • Completing the registration process by inputting and retrieving information from a computer system
  • Promoting hotel marketing programs and making appropriate selections of rooms based on guest needs
  • Verifying and imprinting credit cards for authorization using electronic acceptance methods
  • Handling cash, making change, and balancing an assigned house bank
  • Accepting and recording vouchers, travellers checks, and other forms of payment
  • Converting foreign currency at current posted rates
  • Performing accurate, moderately complex arithmetic functions using a calculator
  • Posting charges to guest rooms and house accounts using the computer
  • Promptly answering the telephone using positive and clear English communication
  • Inputting messages into the computer and retrieving messages to communicate to guests
  • Retrieving mail, small packages, and facsimiles for customers as requested
  • Closing guest accounts at time of check out and ascertaining satisfaction
  • Negotiating compromise in the event of dissatisfaction
  • Remaining calm and alert, especially during emergency and/or heavy hotel activity, and resolving complications
  • Fielding guest complaints and conducting thorough research to develop effective solutions
Requirements

We are looking for individuals with a passion to serve and a positive attitude. Prior hospitality experience is a plus, and open availability is required.
