Shift/Work Schedule
  • 40 hours per week.
  • Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with weekend shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM and rotational holidays
  • Flexibility to work various days, schedules, shifts, and overtime as needed
Role of Nuclear Pharmacy at Cardinal Health

The Nuclear Pharmacy division is tasked with supplying radiopharmaceuticals and other medications to healthcare providers, adhering to stringent State and Federal regulations. This division may also provide consultation to physicians and nuclear medicine technologists regarding the safe and effective use of radioactive medications for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.

Contribution of Pharmacy Services & Delivery

This department ensures the timely and precise delivery of radiopharmaceuticals or oncology medications to healthcare providers, in line with customer demands and the requirements of designated routes. Responsibilities include preparing doses for shipment, packaging, testing, and adhering to safety standards as outlined by the Department of Transportation (DOT).

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivering products to customer locations along assigned routes using a company vehicle (non-CDL)
  • Packaging radiopharmaceuticals for shipment, conducting testing, and managing the loading/unloading of containers
  • Utilizing a handheld device to verify customer orders, gather route information, and navigate
  • Processing returns from customer sites
  • Maintaining vehicles in optimal condition and performing minor roadside repairs as necessary
  • Conducting general facility maintenance and other assigned tasks
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years old due to vehicle operation
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Previous experience in delivery driving is advantageous
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 75 pounds
  • Comfortable driving in various weather conditions, both day and night
  • Ability to remain mobile and operate a vehicle for extended periods
  • Strong customer service and communication abilities
  • Willingness to adapt to varying schedules, including early starts, late finishes, or overtime as required
  • Comfortable working in a nuclear environment
  • Availability to work weekends or participate in a weekend rotation
  • Willingness to work holidays or participate in a holiday rotation
  • Ability to be on call or participate in an on-call rotation
  • Flexibility to work overtime with minimal notice
  • Proficient in using computers and tablets
